Thursday 21 people participated in a short course presented by Christopher Mark, MSHA. The course was “Pillar Design for Western Coal Mines” and reviewed fundamental aspects of pillar design for longwall and room and pillar mining. Hands-on training with the software provided a valuable tool for attendees.
