KUSA - The US Department of Interior announced on Tuesday the sage grouse does not need endangered species protection, thanks to recent conservation efforts.
Colorado and other western states have spent years working to protect the greater sage-grouse, a chicken-sized bird whose shrinking population numbers made the federal government to consider listing it as an "endangered" species.
